Tad Jeffrey Memorial Fund

Donations to this fund provide grants to individual parks to implement unique and diverse projects. This year, the Tad Jeffrey Grands helped fund:

  • A new basketball hoop at Battelle Darby

  •  Lake temperature monitoring at Prairie Oaks

  •  Bird feeding station at Blacklick Woods

  •  Falconry equipment at Blendon Woods

  •  Aquascopes at Highbanks

  •  Binoculars at Battelle Darby

  •  Bike repair station at Pickerington Ponds

  •  Eastern Screech Owl nest boxes at Pickerington Ponds

  •  Purple Martin nesting at Glacier Ridge

  •  Prescribed burn equipment for Resource Management

  •  Hermit Thrush Tree Trail at Scioto Audubon

  •  Yoga series at Scioto Grove with Outdoor Adventures

Tree and Bench Program

This program allows groups and individuals to donate trees and benches to honor or commemorate friends or loved ones as well as commemorate special events.

Benningfield Butterfly Program

Friends funds help to create pollinator garden beds to attract forty species of butterflies to Scioto Audubon Metro Park. We regularly have a volunteer group out to Scioto Audubon to help maintain the gardens.
